Through the generosity of fundholders and donors, NCCF has awarded more than half a million dollars in scholarships to assist students in Northwest Connecticut with the cost of higher education.
NCCF awards more than $530,000 in scholarships a year. Scholarships and awards are made possible by NCCF Funds, established by generous individuals and families.

Scholarships for Graduating Seniors
Ann and Reno Arsego Medical Scholarship Academic Focus: Students pursuing a career in the medical field, including, but not limited to becoming, a physician, nurse, medical technologist or physician's assistant Requirement: Torrington or Litchfield resident Award Average: $15,000 For students residing in Torrington or Litchfield who are pursuing a career in the medical field, including, but not limited to becoming, a physician, nurse, medical technologist or physician's assistant, and who have been accepted at any college or university, including, but not limited to, a community technical college, offering a pre-medical course of study, or a medical school. Academic Focus: Unspecified Award Range: $300 to $1,500 For students who live in NCCF’s *20-town service area and are entering any year of undergraduate or graduate school. The scholarship is also open to individuals attending or planning to attend a non-degree program, adult education or continuing education program and/or primary and secondary school students attending a private primary or secondary institution. Preference is given to graduating seniors at Wamogo Regional High School.
Apolonia Stanulis Scholarship
Academic Focus: Unspecified Award Range: $300 to $1,500 For college students with a permanent residence in NCCF’s *20-town service area.
SVNA Educational Enrichment Program Scholarship
Academic Focus: Health care professionals pursuing continued education in a health care field, except pre-med Award Average: $10, 000 renewable up to 4 years Consistent with the SVNA’s mission to provide the best home health, hospice and preventative care, this scholarship supports health care professionals pursuing continued education in a health care field who reside in Canaan, Cornwall, Goshen, Kent, Norfolk, North Canaan, Salisbury, Sharon or Warren.
Albert C. and Rose Turri Scholarship
Academic Focus: Students pursuing a 2- or 4-year degree in electronics or electrical engineering Award: Two $1,000 scholarships Established in memory of Albert C. and Rose Turri, this scholarship is awarded to students residing (or with permanent residency) in the Foundation’s *20-town service area who are pursuing a two- or four-year degree in electrical engineering or electronics.
William and Sally Vaun Scholarship
Academic Focus: Students pursuing a degree in medicine, both human and veterinary, or environmental studies, with an emphasis on ecology and conservation sciences Award Average: $1,500 This scholarship is awarded to students who live in the NCCF's *20-town service area and are pursuing a degree in medicine, both human or veterinary, or environmental studies, with an emphasis on ecology and conservation sciences.
Eugene F. Zordan and Erminia Zordan Scholarship Fund Academic Focus: Unspecified Average Award: $4,300 Established by Marie Zordan, this scholarship is awarded to undergraduate or graduate students who love in is in NCCF’s *20-town service area
James P. and Mildred Gregg Zucco Scholarship
Academic Focus: Eligible applicants include college students who received the scholarship as a high school senior. Award: $750 Selection is based on financial need and merit, with special emphasis on contributions to school, church and/or community

Cornwall Conservation Trust Scholarship
Academic Focus: Ecology, environmental studies, forestry, FFA, and/or biology Preference: Cornwall residents Award: Up to $4,000 may be awarded annually with a maximum grant of $1,000 per student Application: https://cornwallconservationtrust.org For graduating seniors of Regional District #1 High School or college students who are residents of Region 1. Preference will be given to Cornwall residents. To be considered, candidates must possess a profound concern for the environment as demonstrated by participation in ecological, forestry, FFA or biological activities.
Torrington UNICO Scholarships

The majority of our scholarships are awarded to students of public high schools in the NCCF's 20-town service area. In some cases, students who live in NCCF's service area, but attended a private high school, home school or public school elsewhere may also qualify.
